IWho are these qualifications for?
The level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership are designed for practising middle managers who wish to develop their core management skills and practices. These qualifications focus on the personal development of the individual learner’s management capabilities and competencies. These qualifications are derived from the National Occupational Standards for Management and Leadership and are accredited on the UK national qualifications frameworks.
Units available to study at Level 3 include:
Unit 5001 - Personal development as a manager and leader Unit 5002 - Information based decision making Unit 5003 - Performance management Unit 5004 - Resource management Unit 5005 - Meeting stakeholder and quality needs Unit 5006 - Conducting a management project Unit 5008 - Marketing plan ning Unit 5009 - Project development and control Unit 5010 - Human resource development
What is the format of the level 5 programme?
The Level 5 programme is split into 3 parts:
Award - The level 5 Award in Management and Leadership is a concise qualification which enables you to strengthen your middle management knowledge through focusing on specific management areas which are appropriate to your personal and organisational development.
To achieve the Chartered Management Institute Award in Management and Leadership, you need to complete at least one unit with a minimum value of 6 credits.
Certificate - The level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership is a more extensive qualification enabling you to focus on broadening your middle management knowledge and skills whilst still maintaining the flexibility to focus on the specific management areas appropriate to you and your workplace.
To achieve the Chartered Management Institute Certificate in Management and Leadership, you need to successfully complete asny combination of units to a minimum total of 13 credits.
Diploma - The Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership is a comprehensive qualification providing you with the key management skills to enable you to operate effectively as a middle manager. It allows you to develop a range of competencies from operational management principles and practices to the development of resource control and use. To achieve a Chartered Management Institute Diploma in Management and Leadership you need to complete units 5001, 5002, 5004, 5005 and 5006 plus either 5003 or 5012 and at least three other units to a minimum total of 62 credits.
How are these qualifications assessed?
Assessment is through written worked-based assignments of around 3,000 words, written and marked by tutors at KD Training Solutions.
How long will it all take?
The time it takes to complete your qualifications depends on the units you choose and the time you have to dedicate to them but normally the following applies:
Award - can take as little at 4 weeks Certificate - can take around 3 months Diploma - normally takes around 12 months
